    我的博文 我的案例
这个题目命名的太过高大上,对于我这个接地气的人来说应该把“写作思路和技巧”换成“如何为艺术生半跪舔式周到服务”(认真脸)。言归正传,首先我要给大家一个统计数据,在我去年一共做的17名学生中,申请艺术相关学校,专业和本身就艺术气息浓厚的学生一共有4名,这几名学生的基本信息及录取情况如下:

申请艺术专业的学生或者说本身文艺气息浓厚的学生有一个很大的特点——天马星空的想法非常多,并且他们需要别人给予他们很强的认同感,这份认同感,在我个人看来,是写出令他们满意文书的敲门砖,所以我要谈的第一点就是:再谈文书写作之前,让他们先给咱们谈谈人生。
 
在跟他们谈“人生”的过程中,我认为我是一个很好的倾诉者,他们的各种故事和情绪我都是全盘收下的,我认为这是我尊重他们的一种表现,至于谈“人生”到底谈了什么,请大家看一下当初这些学生给我反馈的五花八门的素材吧~
拿陈YL同学的有趣素材举例:
万圣节“百鬼夜行”化妆舞会

反复理解学生的素材之后,下面要做的工作就是跟学生一起筛选素材,确定好合适的素材之后我的习惯是写出中文的大纲,我知道这会花很多的时间,但是对我来说这是整理我思路的最快方式。
以我给李JH同学写的中文大纲为例:
 
“如果你再花时间玩游戏我就打断你的腿”像是中国的其他家长的一样,我的父母在我第一次玩游戏的时候就每天不厌其烦的重复这句话,严肃而认真。然而到目前为止,我的双腿结实强壮,以至于我正在为我的职业目标——成为一名优秀的游戏设计师,拼尽全力地奔跑着。
 
十年前,第一次把我带入游戏世界的“坏蛋”是一款MMORPG游戏,我的童年里没有洋娃娃,漂亮发卡和有着蕾丝花边的芭蕾舞裙,有的只是关于这款游戏的全部回忆,在游戏中我结识了很多朋友,集结成队一起攻克游戏中的Boss,从那个时候我就知道了团队合作的重要性。我把自己的零花钱积攒起来买点卡和升级装备,喝着白开水看着小伙伴儿们在炎热的夏天吃着冰淇淋笑他们没有人生追求,然后立志将来要做一个游戏家。后来我这个12岁的小孩儿,严肃的写了一篇《玩游戏之必要性总结》并理直气壮地在某个晚上向我的父母大声朗读,我宣称“如果你们爱我,请不要阻止我成为一个伟大的游戏家。”现在我还深刻的记得我父母当时的表情,爸爸愣了一秒之后说了一句“白日做梦也会被打断腿”。
 
如果说第一款游戏占据了我的童年,那么接下来这款游戏就是我青春期的缩影。因为当时我暗恋的男生喜欢玩这款游戏,而且级别很高,所以我想跟他一起体验游戏,让他带我升级。最初的感受是他在游戏里像一个英雄,有他在我可以快速提高等级,有他在我可以探索很多高等级的地图而不用担心怪物的攻击,有他的保护我可以肆无忌惮的玩耍。游戏缩短了我们的距离,让我们的情感以另一种形式进行交流,最后我们变得非常熟悉,成为了很亲密的朋友。之后我独自探索游戏直至进入大学,也依然对这家公司的游戏情有独钟。
 
在大学,我的专业是声音学院下的数字媒体,最初的目的是培养我们成为游戏声音设计者,为了更好的了解游戏声音在游戏中的表现我接触了两门讲程序语言的课程Objective-c和Pure data,课上老师让我们设计并利用学过的程序语言制作出一个与声音有关的游戏,我觉得这是一次非常有意思的体验,可以很好的把声音作为游戏的主导,所以对待这门课非常认真,我跟小伙伴们写了详细的策划案,设置最初的游戏目的,讨论声音风格,编写游戏规则,然后开始分工合作,我主要负责的是coding部分,当我们最终成功地实现了这款以声音为主导的游戏时,我感到前所未有的满足,因而我发现自己真正追求的不只是局限于游戏声音设计部分而是参与到全部的游戏设计过程中。我更想进入游戏制作的不同阶段,让自己拥有更多的游戏制作手段,同时结合自己在声音和逻辑思维上的优势去创作出更好的游戏体验,因为我认为的游戏本质就是带给人们不同的心理满足。
 
再那之后,我不单是资深的游戏玩家还是一名游戏设计者,同时,我对中国几家大型游戏公司的了解程度也越来越深刻。有一次我跟我的朋友坐公交车去一个目的地,行驶的公交车,让玻璃窗外的画面如电影胶片一般一帧一帧的变化着,突然一帧画面映入我的眼帘,一所很摩登的高楼顶端的广告牌上,“完美世界”用猩红色的字体呈现,像一个强大的帝国醒目番号。那一刻的我,浑身上下的血液应该瞬间上升了一度,我面色泛红,心跳加速,然后我雀跃的向朋友说:“快看,我一直都最喜欢玩那家公司的游戏,他们的游戏真的很amazing!”不玩游戏的朋友们可能不了解完美世界游戏公司在中国的地位,可能更不了解当时我的小鹿乱撞的心情。我当时一直歪着头看着那个巨大的广告牌彻底的消失在我的视线中。对于当时的我来说,我无法想象的两年后的我获得了这家公司的实习机会。
 
当我进入完美世界实习时,公司正在对《诛仙》——也就是我青春期沉迷的那款游戏——做新一代的制作,我参与了这款游戏的公司内部测试,我的指导前辈让我做游戏中人物的脚步声然后放到游戏中测试;还让我试玩游戏测试音效,把我觉得不好的地方记下来并进行相应的改善。我当时一边玩游戏一边流泪,这是一种非常难以描述的情愫,时隔七年,游戏还是当时的游戏,而我从游戏玩家却变成了游戏制作者,这何尝不是一种宿命呢?吾爱依旧,未曾彷惶;低头思量,情深谊长;再接再厉,来日方长。在完美世界要求的是游戏作品的质量,我的指导前辈帮我一遍一遍去听我做的音效然后提出意见,然后我回去一遍一遍的修改直至达到完美的效果,最后我的导师表扬我做的游戏声音还不错。我非常感激导师对我的严格要求,无论是声音制作的技术层面还是设计层面都得到了极大的磨练,让我的游戏声音制作能力得到了很大提升。
 
另外一次实习经历是在网易公司,它是中国第二大的游戏公司,我的生命中的第一款游戏就是这家公司制作的。在网易,公司对我的要求是提高效率,刚进入公司的时候工作压力很大,主管会给我安排很多的游戏音效设计工作并在较短的时间完成符合标准的作品,实习生们之间的竞争也异常激烈。那段时间我每天睁开眼睛就是去自己的座位上进行设计和制作,做到晚上11点再回屋休息,周六周日也跑去加班。有时候项目急需,主管让我一天之内完成一部宣传片的音效制作,我当时拿到任务的第一反应是“这不可能”,因为我认为时间太短很难有好的声音效果,但是转念一想这对我来说是一个很好的挑战,迎接挑战的我忘记了那天的午餐,忘记了太阳的光线从刺眼到暗淡,忘记了月光洒了一地,明晃晃的模样。任务完成了我累并快乐着。第二天,主管直接采用了我的声音效果。
 
我的实习经历让我了解一个游戏的诞生最困难的地方是挖掘出自己设计游戏最初的目地并实现它,无论是借助技术手段例如编程,还是融入美术和声音的设计都是为了实现游戏的独特体验。而最困难的部分也是我最感兴趣的地方。我很幸运能进入两家公司实习,因为正是这两家公司的游戏把我引导进游戏领域并让我越走越远。但如果我接受了当时两家公司的其中一家的工作offer的话,你可能现在都不会阅读到我的这篇个人陈述。是的,我最终拒绝了这两家公司向我伸来的橄榄枝,我不是不爱游戏,而是更爱了,所以我要去顶尖的学校去学习更加专业的知识。
 
一方面,我感谢我的专业提供给我的条件让我发现limbo, monument, wow, Minecraft,wow等众多优秀的游戏,也让我知道了Sid meier, Satoru Iwata等杰出的游戏界前辈,所以My short-term goal is to learn advanced knowledge of game design in USC.我了解到学生在USC的前半部分阶段可以在某种技能上深入学习然后与小组成员共同完成一些project,首先我喜欢参加这样的小组project制作过程,在大家一起制作的过程中可以提高自己各个方面的能力。其次这可以帮助我转变自己的方向,我是一个不错的游戏音频设计者和制作者,我相信我完全有能力承担音效设计的任务,但是我想利用学校给每个学生提供的资源去尝试不同的方向,比如说program或者3D, 或者创作一些有意思的交互装置,学校给了我更多的选择,这是我非常好的一个改变方向和寻求突破的机会。
 
另一方面,国内目前的游戏现状让真正热爱游戏的人唏嘘不已。做游戏的态度不端正,从业者的水平参差不齐,行业专业度普遍偏低,尤其是我了解的音频方面极大地受到了忽视,而且最让我发指的是,In China, designing game is just for money.而在美国,游戏设计者因为热爱游戏而制作游戏,从业者专业水平非常高,整个游戏行业的专业度极高。此外,美国有广阔而自由的创作环境,自己的想法能在自己创作的游戏中顺畅表达,游戏设计者表达的是情怀,是自己精神层面上对游戏严肃的态度,如果有人把中国的游戏制作的环境,态度和精神层面上的情感非要和美国的来一较高下,那我真的想打断他的腿。
 
当第一版的PS或者是essay确定之后,接下来就是跟学生反复修琢文书里面的具体细节,修改到学生喊停为止,这个过程我不是很喜欢,挺折磨人的。

总的来说艺术生的写作思路就是这么几个步骤,至于技巧,我的理解是一定要在文书里说一些掏心掏肺的话,尤其申请艺术类学校的,一定要写的像学生自己!尤其是学生的思路和情感~
