美国是传媒行业发展非常发达的国家，而且美国的教育也是世界一流的，拥有众多传媒专业的牛校。每年来自世界各地的优秀学生，都会申请这些学校，竞争这有限的名额。那么，这些传媒专业的牛校，他们对学生最低的录取条件是怎么样的，哪个学校更好申请呢？下面我对Missouri, University of-Columbia、UCSB、Syracuse University这三所传媒牛校的官方申请最低要求和一些特殊条件来进行分析，从这两方面来看，评测一下三所学校申请的难度。

Missouri, University of-Columbia在美国综合排名是85，但是它是美国最早成立传媒学院的大学，是传媒专业的老牌牛校，非常注重学术研究。学校的研究生录取最低要求并不高，但是实际的竞争是非常激烈的。传媒专业可以提供PHD学位，而且PHD学位的毕业率很高，达到了91%,远远超过了平均传播学PHD的平均毕业率。但是PHD只录取Master学生，本科毕业的不能直接申请。研究生学习非本专业的，需要有选修或学过相关核心课程，所以对想申请PHD的学生来说，有一定难度。需要注意的是申请传媒专业，最好能够有相关工作背景，并且学校要求提供Writing Sample。

UCSB综合排名45，传媒专业的排名比较高，是加州一所中高档次的学校。学校的TOEFL要求是三所学校中最低的，如果申请者成绩不到600，可以考虑这所学校。需要注意的是学校要求申请者毕业学校的相关证明和PS要提供两份，而且国际申请者要进行预申请，通过了才可以进行网申。同时，学校要求申请分开寄送到两个地方。另外，学校不接受纸申，必须填写网申。G/T成绩也要在截至时间内寄送到。接受雅思成绩。

In addition to the completed application form, applicants must submit a personal statement, a resume, two copies of official transcripts from any post-secondary institution in which the applicant earned 12 or more credits, three letters of recommendation, GRE scores (GMAT scores are accepted for applications to the Media Management program), and TOEFL score (if applicable).
Most students take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). We require a minimum score of 600 (PBT), 250 (CBT), or 100 (iBT). The average TOEFL score for international students we admit is 640 (PBT score scale).
We also accept scores from IELTS (International English Language Testing System) in place of the TOEFL. Our minimum requirement is a score of 7.0 on this exam.
Syracuse University综合排名50，文科比较出名，学校有专门的传媒学院，Master提供的专业很多，而且有PHD学位。学校的申请最低要求跟Missouri, University of-Columbia差不多。但是学校的整体实力要高出它一个档次，而且文科名气也相对大一些，竞争也会随之增加。对国际学生申请要求较高。学校往年录取的国际学生中，TOEFL成绩平均要达到640，国际学生大约占10-15%，并且录取的一般都有相关工作经验。
申请测评：
从三所学校的档次来看，UCSB（UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SANTA BARBARA）和Syracuse University综合实力处于一个档次，但是由于加州牛校过多，UCSB的知名度并不是特别高。相反Syracuse University由于文科比较出名，因此在国内学生中知名度更高一些。而Missouri, University of-Columbia则名气稍小一些。但是从传媒专业上来看，三所学校都是处于一个水平线的大学，而且各自有各自的特点。整体实力最低的Missouri, University of-Columbia反而是当中最早建立传媒学院的大学，而且非常注重学术研究，一直是传统牛校。Syracuse University大学也有自己独立的传媒学院，而且开设的专业非常丰富，结合现在的发展趋势，开展了很多新兴课程。而UCSB则属于传统类型的传媒专业，基本都是大众传媒相关的专业。
从最低申请条件来看，Missouri, University of-Columbia和Syracuse University虽然综合实力有一定差距，但是MUC由于其传媒专业的优势和实力，两所学校最低申请要求处于一个档次。UCSB是三所学校中；要求最低的一所学校，而且学校要求国际学生要先进行预申，因此，UCSB是一所冲刺非常划算的学校，TOEFL要求也低。如果预申请没过，不会浪费申请费，而且知道结果的时间会比较早。Missouri, University of-Columbia由于学校的综合实力和名气较低，因此，这里也是一个非常好的选择。Syracuse University对国际学生要求较高，属于最难申请的大学。
