概述

普利茅斯大学自创立以来，大学逐渐发展为英国最大的院校之一，拥有27,000名学生和3,000名员工。来自100多个国家的近2,000名留学生就读于本校。

Band 1: Classroom based courses such as business, humanities, social studies, languages, law, etc.

Band 2: Laboratory or studio based courses such as science, engineering, technology, agriculture, art and design etc.

Entry requirements

The university welcomes applications from suitably prepared applicants. The admissions process is designed to ensure that people admitted to its programmes of study are prepared to succeed. The process can seem long winded and bureaucratic, but each stage of the admissions process has been designed to help us identify those students who would benit from our courses and stand a good chance of success.

We are guded by a number of information sources as well as experience of students from different education systems. We look for a level of education equivalent to that of a UK student applying for the same course. This applies for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

If you would like to join one of our courses but are not sure whether you are qualified, we recommend that you submit an application. There is no fee and this allows us to see your complete history at once. Sometimes work experience or other factors may be in your favour which would not be obvious from just your academic qualifications.

English language

The university has an English language proficiency entrance requirement. For most courses, a score of 6.0+ IELTS (International English Language Testing Scheme) or 550+ (213 computer based) TOEFL (Testing of English as a Foreign Language) would be required for most undergraduate subjects. Within this there may be specific requirements such as a minimum of 6.0 for the writing element. A level of 6.5 or its equivalent is normally required for postgraduate study. te study.

奖学金

The University of Plymouth offers a number of scholarships. These are usually competitive and people who have successfully applied to the university are eligible to apply. Some scholarships are available for all courses and faculties, while others are specific to courses, faculties or levels of study. Please check the website for further details, including the faculty websites as often this information appears there first.

Normally, applications need to have been processed by April or May for consideration for competitive schlarships, though there are some exceptions. We always recommend that people apply early so they can apply for scholarships in good time. We look for a good academic background and evidence of how the scholarship would assist the student in their studies and later life.
