B: I have an appointment.

A：Okay. please fill out this form while you wait. I ll call you when the doctor s ready.

这里我们要学习一个生词appointment,意为 预约，会面 ，如果想和医生预约就诊我们可以说I need to make an appointment. 上面对话中我预约了还可以说成I came for an appointment.

2 A:I think I broke a rib.

B: Let me examine you. Please take off your top.Where does it hurt?

A: There.

B: We d better take an X-ray.

take off 脱衣服，your top 意为腰部以上的衣服，我们还可以用strip 表示脱，如please strip to your waist. to your waist意为腰部以上, Where does it hurt?医生此刻正在触诊，他的言外之意是如果碰到痛处，请说一声，同样的表达还有Tell me where it hurts. Tell me if it hurts.

You have the flu bug,flu流感 bug说的是virus病毒，这句话直译为你带有流感病毒。 You have a fever. fever 发烧，high fever 高烧，同义句还可以说I have a high temperature. I m feeling hot.

B: Is there a pharmacy nearby?

A: Just down the street.

prescribe 写处方开处方，prescription处方，I ll make out a prescription. Take this to the pharmacist.拿着它去药房吧，pharmacy药房，pharmacist带有表示人的-ist词尾，意为药剂师。

B: When should I take these pills?
