MAPLE LEAF AWARDS (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS STUDYING IN CANADA)

If you are a non-Canadian citizen and not a Permanent Resident of Canada, but you are currently studying in Canada, then you may be eligible for one of these University of Alberta scholarships.

UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA MAPLE LEAF CENTENARY SCHOLARSHIP

Field of Study: Open

Value: $20,000 over four years ($5,000 per year)

Quantity available: 2

Conditions: Awarded to student(s) on Study Permit(s) with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate dee program at the University of Alberta from a high school in Canada. Selection based on academic standing, leadership qualities as demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular and community activities, and a counselor‘s letter of recommendation. Renewal of funding for the second, third, and fourth years is contingent upon achieving a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a full normal course load at the University of Alberta, while studying on a Study Permit. Transfer students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Application procedure: Students will be considered for this Scholarship if they have applied for both Scholastic Distinction (Entrance Citations) for International Students and International Entrance Leadership.
