　　1. be crucial to

　　1)be crucial to… 对…至关重要

　　2)be crucial to sb 对某人至关重要

　　如：A growing economy and a focus on essential priorities will also be crucial to the future of Social Security. 经济发展和重点集中也对社会福利保险的未来至关重要。

　　2 be crucial for sth 对某事来说至关重要(不可以对人哦)

　　如：This year will be crucial for forts to attain this goal . 今年是实现这个目标的关键一年。

　　This aid money is crucial to the government’s economic policies.

　　crucial in/to doing something

　　The work of monks was crucial in spreading Christianity.

　　play a crucial role/part in something

　　The city of Mycenae played a crucial role in the history of Greece.

　　The conservation of tropical forests is of crucial importance .
